Fast-growing tech firm TST Media has made a power play.
The company this week bought Minnesota’s annual US Pond Hockey Championships from Fred Haberman and his public relations firm, Haberman Inc.
It’s not often you see a tech company buy a hockey event, but the deal makes a lot of sense for TST. The Minneapolis company has developed a website-management system that it primarily markets to youth sports leagues. (Minnesota Hockey is a long-time customer, and CEO Justin Kaufenberg played varsity hockey in college.)
