Regular – $1,150 per team

The Open Division is considered the most competitive division of the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships, with teams competing to inscribe their team name on a piece of pond hockey history: the Golden Shovel. This division is for men and women aged 18 and older. Some Open division teams carry former NHL legends, Division 1 hockey players, or high school greats. Teams hold up to eight players, four on the ice at a time. Each team is guaranteed four games. Qualifying teams will advance to the Golden Shovel round on Sunday to compete, with only one team emerging triumphant.

Open Division Play:
Friday-Sunday: January 24-26, 2025

Check-in on-site Wednesday or Thursday
• Open teams will play two games on Friday and two on Saturday, with the Championship round on Sunday.
• All teams must be available for game start times as early as 8:15 am and as late as 4:15 pm.
