Event Policies

Administrative Policies

1. Team entries will not be processed without payment.

2. All event participants will be required to sign waivers and provide photo ID (proof of age) before the start of the tournament. Any player violating the minimum age requirement (18 years old in the Open, Cedar, Rink Rat, Women, and Bender Divisions; 40 years old in the 40+ Divisions and 50 years old in the 50+ Divisions) will forfeit their place in the tournament. Any team playing with an underage or unregistered player will be disqualified from the tournament and will not receive a refund. Your age will be determined as of January 23, 2025.

3. A player can only play for one team in the tournament.

4. The tournament commissioners reserve the right to add or delete rules; all teams will be informed of changes before the start of the tournament.

5. The tournament commissioners reserve the right to prohibit any player or team from participating if they are deemed to cause safety concerns.

Payment + Refund Policy

  • Registration to reserve your team's spot in the 2025 U.S. Pond Hockey Championships requires full payment, including a 15% non-refundable fee.
  • Teams deciding to drop before November 22, 2024, will receive a refund of 85% of the registration fee.
  • Teams deciding to drop after November 22, 2024, will not receive a registration fee refund.
  • If the event is canceled due to weather or unsafe ice conditions 45 to 30 days before the tournament, teams will receive a refund of 50% of the registration fee and a guaranteed team spot for 2026 USPHC.
  • If the event is canceled 29 to 10 days before the tournament, teams will receive a refund of 25% of the registration fee and a guaranteed team spot for 2026.
  • If the event is canceled less than ten days before the tournament, teams will receive a guaranteed team spot for the 2026 USPHC; however, no refunds will be able to be given.

As with all weather-related events, we strongly encourage participants to purchase travel insurance where available. 

Event Site Regulations

  1. No outside food or beverage is allowed on the USPHC event grounds.
  2. Tobacco products are not allowed on the USPHC event grounds.
  3. Please be courteous to the Nokomis neighborhood: no littering or trespassing.
  4. No animals are allowed inside any event structures.
  5. Lost and Found will be located inside the Main Warming Tent.
  6. Medical Personnel will be on-site for the duration of tournament play. USPHC Staff or volunteers can help contact medical personnel if the situation warrants it.
  7. Dress appropriately for rapidly changing weather conditions and a frosty arctic breeze from the north.
  8. USPHC is not responsible for lost or stolen goods.
