We are thrilled to announce that the USPHC Open Division has sold out for the sixth year in a row! Once again we are humbled by the excitement that players, volunteers and spectators have shared with us as we approach the 2011 U.S. Pond Hockey Championships. Your passion for this event and the sport of pond hockey are truly unrivaled. It is an honor and a privilege to be part of this thriving pond hockey community that converges on Lake Nokomis every January!

Because of the incredible response this year, we are opening up 20 new team spots for the Open Division, available on a first come, first served basis!

We are also starting a new tradition this year: annually commissioning an artist to create a commemorative print to celebrate the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships. This year we have commissioned internationally renowned printmaking artist Chris Speakman to create the first annual official limited edition USPHC print. Each print is HAND MADE, signed by the artist, editioned, and dated. All prints are printed on a quality 100% cotton paper, archival & acid free. Only 400 prints of this year's artwork have been produced.

We initially announced the prints in an email sent last week... and response to the artwork has been incredible! Our plan is to offer the prints for sale in the warming tent during the weekend of the tournament- if any still remain. If this last week was any indicator of how the next few weeks will go, we will sell out of the prints well before the tournament commences on January 21st!
