This weekend's cold weather is just what hockey fans were waiting for. Crews were out clearing and prepping the ice on Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis Sunday for the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships.

After crews cleared the snow, they used large hoses to flood each of the rinks, improving the current layer of ice. Crews say they are right on schedule.
